We've lived and worked on these six acres since 1992, and we are quite a busy family.
We enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables, and we raise a variety on our farm, including several different kinds of apples, peaches, grapes, blackberries, raspberries, rhubarb, nectarines, plums, potatoes, and asparagus. We also have a small fenced pasture with a cow and calf. Both of us have a farming background and love the soil.
Clair is a licensed building contractor. They build upscale homes and specialize in framing with exposed beam systems. Clair can cut the beams on his own sawmill. Martha spends her time with grandchildren, keeping the books for Clair's business, keeping the cabins running, and volunteering one afternoon a week at our local hospice house. We are also involved in our local Mennonite church.
We are both lovers of wood, and that love is reflected in the cabins. We've used different species of wood for the floors, walls, and ceilings, and we think you'll enjoy coming home to their warmth and beauty.
We are open year round, and our cabins are available for weekend, weekly, monthly, and short-term rentals. We hope to see you soon!
